Man stabbed in City, murder accused remanded  

A man, whose identity has not yet been disclosed by police, is today fighting for his life after being stabbed repeatedly in a dispute in Jubilee Gardens, The City.

It is not yet known what led to the altercation, but police said the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found lying on the ground with several stab wounds.

Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch told Barbados TODAY the man was in critical condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Lawmen are now on the hunt for a suspect.

Meanwhile, 54-year-old Michael Oneal Beckles has been remanded to prison after appearing in court in connection with the murder of British national Brian Paul Mulligan.

The 1st Avenue, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church man will reappear in court on July 18.

Mulligan, 28, was fatally stabbed on Sunday morning in Dover, Christ Church. (EJ)
