Four-game win streak
Blackman And Gollop Primary made it four wins out of four games today as the Pine Hill Dairy-sponsored National Sports Council’s Primary Schools Netball Competition’s second round got underway at the Netball Stadium.
Playing in zone 1, Blackman and Gollop “A” defeated George Lamming 13-1 after leading 7-0 at the half-time interval. They returned to claim the scalp of Chalky Mount 8-1 in another dominant performance, leading 4-1 at the half. Then it was on to Good Shepherd who they swamped 9-1.
Blackman and Gollop “B” , showing the depth of talent at the school, defeated George Lamming 12-1.
Good Shepherd scored a 4-1 win over Chalky Mount.
In zone 2 action St Giles Primary registered two victories. They first defeated Luther Thorne 8-3 with Kellissa Kelly getting six of the goals and Donelle Reid
the other two. St. Giles then had their way with A Dacosta Edwards Primary beating the St Andrew school 11-2. Kelly led the way again with eight goals while shooting partner Reid scored the other three.
A close match throughout between Hillaby Turner’s Hall and Cuthbert Moore ended in a 5-5 draw while the former provided A Dacosta Edwards with their only win
of the day with a 3-2 result. Luther Moore got a 4-2 scoreline in their favour when they came up against Cuthbert Moore.
Tomorrow in zone 3 action at the Netball Stadium St Bernard’s play Belmont; Bay Primary take on All Saints; St Bernard’s return to play Hilda Skeene; Bay Primary
take on Belmont Primary; and Hilda Skeene tackle All Saints Primary.
In zone 4, Grantley Prescod play Reynold Weekes, St Mary’s battle Ignatius Byer; Grantley Prescod return to the court against West Terrace, St Mary’s contend with Reynold Weekes and West Terrace take on Ignatius Byer.
