Jamaican to answer drug charges

A 46-year-old Jamaican is due to appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates Court tomorrow in connection with four drug-related charges.

Linton Hugh Grant has been charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of 13 pounds of cannabis.

Police say the drug was found during a search of Grant’s luggage by Customs after he arrived at the Grantley Adams International Airport last night.

The officers reportedly discovered a false compartment with 13 taped packages containing the illegal drug.

Another search of a folder found three tapes packages hidden in a false compartment and yet another package was hidden in the pants he was wearing.
