New CEO announced

LIAT has confirmed the appointment of David Evans as chief executive officer effective April 22. Evans takes over from Julie Reifer-Jones, who has been acting in the position since then Captain Ian Brunton resigned in September last year. Evans – a British national – has more than 35 years of experience in senior roles within the aviation industry, including with British Airways, Zambian Airways and the Kuwait start-up airline Wataniya Airways.

He speaks Spanish, French, German and Mandarin Chinese and holds an MBA in business administration from Lancaster University and combined honours in modern Languages from Wadham College, Oxford University, according to a statement from the LIAT board of directors. (PR)
