Three charged after illegal gun seizures

Three people are expected to appear in court tomorrow charged in connection with last week’s seizure of four illegal guns and ammunition.

Police have jointly charged Gary Decourcey Zepherin, 27, Cyprus Street, Bridgetown, and Kynasha Gill, 20, of King William Street, Bridgetown for having three firearms and 56 rounds of ammunition, without a valid licence or permit, on Friday.

Arising out of another seizure earlier the same week, Jahmeel Lorenzo Jones, 23, of no fixed place of abode, has been charged with having a firearm and ammunition without a valid licence or permit. He also faces two counts of disorderly behaviour.

Police say they’ve also made a breakthrough in a string of break-ins, charging Jones with 22 counts of burglary.

Most of those offences were allegedly committed between last year and this year in the Bush Hall and Ivy, St Michael communities.

So why would they need those in Barbados? Hmmm,so by your reasoning we need them in T&T ,Jamaica and everywhere else but Barbados.Typical Bajan in denial. No one needs those weapons anywhere,in fact they are the same problem everywhere,Bim included.
