Second man charged for ice-cream vendor’s shooting

A man who allegedly shot and robbed an icecream vendor as he was plying his trade in July last year is now facing the court.

Llewellyn David Mayers, 20, of 2nd Avenue, Gooding Land, Deighton Road, St Michael, has been charged with robbing Curtis Hade and causing him serious bodily harm on July 17, 2013. 

Hade had to be hospitalized but has since been released.

Another man was previously charged in connection with the incident. He is 19-year-old Javere Antonio Dillon Yarde, alias “Big Head” of Block 2C, Field Place, Bayville, St. Michael. He is currently on remand on charges of robbery, serious bodily harm and use of a firearm.
