Police are investigating the apparent drowning of a Guyanese man.

Patrick Serraio, 47, of Gibbs St. Peter was pulled from the water at Gibbs beach and pronounced dead at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital yesterday afternoon.

According to a statement from police, it was about 15 minutes after going into the sea that Serraio’s lifeless body was seen floating in the water.

He was pulled from the sea by two men who tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate him.
