New programmes at Barbados Community College

The Barbados Community College (BCC) will be introducing new programmes to its curriculum.

At the BCC’s recent graduation ceremony, principal Dr Gladstone Best said the BCC plans on implementing a new Associate degree
in Procurement and he is optimistic this would assist Government in creating a career path for procurement officers.

He also disclosed that the college planned to introduce a Bachelor’s degree in the nursing, pharmacy and medical laboratory technology programmes to aid in the transition from the Associate degree.

In addition, Best said his administration proposed the introduction of a Bachelor’s degree programme in nutrition/dietetics and Associate degrees in dental health and cultural studies.
