Groundsman collapses and dies on BET playing field
Police are investigating a sudden death but say they do not suspect foul play.
David Carter, the 49-year-old groundsman at the BET playing field in Wildey, suddenly collapsed and died shortly after reporting for duty at 7 am.
Station Sergeant Richard Boyce, who was in charge of the scene, told Barbados TODAY, that Carter was cutting the grass on the field when he collapsed.
The officer noted that while no signs of violence were found on the man’s body, a post mortem would be required to determine the cause of death.
