Aaliyah Alleyne scored six goals yesterday.

It rained goals on Sunday at Brereton, St. Philip as Empire Stars hammered Eden 11-1 in Women’s Premier League football action.

Aaliyah Alleyne displayed all her undoubted talents as she accounted for six of Empire’s goals. The speedy striker found the back of the net in the 7th, 13, 22nd, 30th, 37th and 55th minutes. Alleyne’s assault on Eden came after team-mate Hannisha Hoyte had started their opponent’s misery with a 5th minute strike.

Empire went into the half-time break leading 6-0 and continued the party on resumption. Shonna Evelyn found the back of the nets in the 48th minute and there were also goals from Jeanna Johnson (50th and 69th mins) and Tonia Jordan-Deane in the 90th minute. Shawnica Corbin got the consolation goal for Eden.

In other action at Brereton, Unity Soccer humbled Technique Academy 5-0. Shaunte Carrington got the first goal in the 9th minute and this was followed by two goals from Danica King in the 19th and 28th minutes. Carrington was again on target in the 59th minute and Tichina Clarke completed the rout by scoring in the 92nd minute.

Empire were on the receiving end on Sunday fortnight, however, going down 5-1 to Genesis Lafida. Kerry Trotman had a hat-trick while Makala Alleyne got a brace of goals. Empire’s star striker Aaliyah Alleyne got Empire’s goal.
