Sunday showdown in Teen Talent
Eight “juniors” and two “seniors” are scheduled to compete when the fourth preliminary of the Richard Stoute Teen Talent Contest comes off on Sunday at the Divi Southwinds Resort at 7 p.m.
Seventeen year old Kareem McCollin will sing When I was Your Man and Water Runs Dry, followed by Shantha Bowin, 21, with I’d Rather Go Blind and Smash Into You, then Zoe Armstrong, whose songs had not been determined up to news time.
Singing Wind Beneath My Wings and The Climb, will be 10 year old Zikiya Harewood, while Destiny Ifill, 11, will try to sway the judges with Stay and Save The Best for Last.
Twenty one year old Sherece Chandler will perform All the Man I Need and And I am Telling You, while Rebekah Carter, 19, is set to sing Somewhere and I Feel Good All Over.
The other contestant in the 13 to 21 age category is Alicia Edwards, who will sing Diamonds and Set Fire to the Rain.
In the over 21 category, Denis Warner will perform Bridge Over Troubled Water and My Way, as he competes against Jamal Springer with Superstar and I Need You Now. (RRM)
