Run series this Sunday at East Coast

Following last year’s inaugural athletics event, Ufukuzo Running Club in association with Elite Sports will once again host a run series on the East Coast Road on Sunday, August 18 starting at 4:30p.m.

The event offers a great opportunity for rookie athletes to make their debut into road- running since this initial stage will be a flat course starting and finishing near Sand Dunes Bar & Restaurant.

Runners have a choice of 5km (1 loop), 10km (2 loops) or 15km (three loops) and may register at Island Fit Headquarters Gym in Wildey, St. Michael on Friday 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Official charity for the event is The Little Pink Gift Foundation, an organisation that supports the victims of breast cancer.

Ufukuzo Running Club is a non-profit organization that has inspired and continues to encourage road-running as a healthy lifestyle choice. Its efforts have spearheaded a significant interest in this activity in recent years so that on average there is now at least one run per month on the national road racing calendar.
