In Barbados we have our challenges, but the things about which we can be proud are many. Across the world for the past few days United States embassies have been locked down, with personnel on a heightened state of alert amid fears of terrorist attacks.

We don’t know if US facilities in Barbados had reason to tighten security, but based on this picture, United States Ambassador to Barbados Larry Palmer had little to fear when he joined the Foreday Mornin’ jam at the weekend — paint and all.

We call this a diplomatic coup!
