SSA worker stabbed

Police in Barbados were tonight looking for a Sanitation Service Authority employee for questioning in connection with the stabbing of another worker.

Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector David Welch, reported that 55 year old driver Owen Weir of Edgecombe, St. Philip sustained three stab wounds about his body, following a fight on the compound of the SSA around 11:15 this morning. Weir was transferred from the nearby polyclinic to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance after the incident. (EJ)
