Boycotting Pollard

I will be staging a boycott next Monday against Kieron Pollard captaining a Barbados side in the new Caribbean T 20 League.

First of all, it is not a Barbados representative team and should not be labelled as a Barbados team. Who has Pollard ever captained, not a boy. He is averaging 20.70 from 30 innings.

Dwayne Smith has captained both Barbados and the West Indies “A” team and averages 18.58 from 17 innings and has played 10 Test matches for the West Indies.

It is an insult to Barbadians to have Pollard as captain of a side labelled as Barbados. Since it is not a representative team of Barbados, the name should not reflect Barbados.

Wayne, you are missing the point. I don’t know much about the game, but I did watch a lot of IPL games and Pollard is a good choice for captain as he has experience in this kind of cricket.

I bet you stole a peep at the match against the Steelers….if you didn’t, bad luck. T20 is all about having fun sadly this point seems to be lost on you.
