Reanna Woodroffe stumbled but got up to score six goals for Blackman & Gollop.

Blackman & Gollop and Boscobel Primary will clash in the final of the Pine Hill Dairy- sponsored National Sports Council’s Primary Schools Netball Competition.

Today at the Netball Stadium Blackman & Gollop got the better of powerhouses St. Martin’s Mangrove with a nail- biting 11-10 victory. The game was locked at 9-9 at full time and then after extra time (2x3mins halves) the score read 11 – 10.

Leading the victors’ offensive efforts were Reanna Woodroffe who scored six goals from nine

attempts and Deanna Ramsay who had five goals from six attempts. For St. Martin’s Mangrove Brianna Harvey scored six goals from eight attempts, Britney Herbert had two goals from seven attempts and Ashne Marshall scored both of her attempts.

The second semi-final match-up was also a close affair with the sizzling shooting of goal attack Akila Rouse being instrumental in Boscobelle’s 9-7 victory over Belmont Primary.

Rouse had a perfect morning scoring seven goals from seven attempts while team-mate Kayla Hurley had two goals from three attempts. Belmont’s Julisa Jones Smith had one of her worse shooting performances for the tournament scoring only four goals from 11 attempts while Faith Jackson netted three goals from four attempts.

The final is slated for next week Thursday at the Netball Stadium.
