Customers win big

Luck continues to change for Digicel customers, thanks to the company’s ongoing Truck It 2 DMAX promotion.

Patrice Bailey, Yvette Turney and Sebastian Dacosta are three of the recent weekly winners in the promotion which began in April and runs until June 30, after which one lucky person will walk away with a brand new 2013 Isuzu DMX truck, along with $15,000 in cash, simply by topping up with $15 or more, paying their bill on-time and in-full and activating a new prepaid, or post-paid account.

Along the way customers are also eligible to win weekly prizes such as a spa package for two at the Sugar Cane Spa, a weekend for two at the luxurious Crane Residential Resort and one month’s free gas compliments Sol, each of which were won by Bailey, Turney and Dacosta respectively.

Bailey, a customer service representative, explained that her job can be stressful at times and a spa day is the ideal gift at this moment.

“I really needed this,” Baily said. “I was not expecting to win but I am definitely happy and looking forward to a day of relaxation.”

Alana Gray, sales and marketing manager with Going Places Travel, who donated the prize, explained that the company was happy to be involved with the promotion: “Digicel is one of our business partners and we enjoy a great working relationship. So being a part of this promotion and being able to provide a much needed spa day of pampering for a loyal customer is certainly a pleasure for us.”

Turney, like Bailey, was also excited about her win and explained that she was ready and rearing to enjoy her weekend get-away.

“This will be my first time staying in a local hotel and I am excited and looking forward to it,” she said.

Marketing coordinator at the Crane, Sharon Brown, explained that Turney will have all access to the property on her two-night stay.

“Yvette will be staying in the newest wing on the property in a room with its own private pool,” Brown explained. “I’m sure she will have a fantastic vacation.”

Dacosta, another first time winner of any kind, said that a month’s free gas was the perfect prize for him, but noted that ultimately he’s gunning for the truck.

“I do a good bit of driving, so free gas for an entire month is a prize which could only be topped by the grand prize of the truck, so I’m hoping to get lucky twice.”

Sales and Marketing Manager with Sol (Barbados) Limited, Kirk King, congratulated Dacosta on the prize and thanked Digicel for including them in the promotion.

“With today’s economy,” he said, “I know Sebastian will definitely appreciate this prize, as I know all Barbadians would. We were happy to partner with Digicel in such a great promotion to reward their loyal customers, many of whom are also loyal Sol customers.”

Digicel’s Commercial Director, Alex Tasker, thanked both Going Places and the Crane for joining the company in the promotion noting that it enhanced the value of the prizes being offered.

“We also have to thank our customers for their continued support throughout the years and urge them to ensure they have a chance to win the remaining, exciting weekly prizes and of course the coveted grand prize by topping-up, paying their bill on time and in full or activating a new service up until June 30,” Tasker said.
