West Indies ‘A’ in command

West Indies “A” were 147 for 1 at the end of play today on the second day of their four-day “Test” against Sri Lanka “A” at Warner Park, St. Kitts.

Leading the way for the hosts was Guyana and West Indies Test batsman Assad Fudadin who was unbeaten at the close on 81, in company with captain Kirk Edwards on 22. The batsman dismissed was Barbados and West Indies opener Kraigg Brathwaite who was caught at short leg for 37.

Earlier, resuming at 310 for 5, Sri Lanka were eventually dismissed for 472 with overnight batsman Chathuranga de Silva, who resumed on 4, going on to make a pleasing 109.

Jamaican left-hand orthodox spinner Nikita Miller was easily the pick of the bowlers adding a further two wickets to his overnight haul to finish with figures of 6 for 141.
