Mini-league basketball back

Mini-League Basketball will be re-introduced to Barbados through the SIGNIA Financial-sponsored DCB Mini-League Easter Basketball Series tomorrow.

The tournament will take place at the YMCA with competition taking the form of an Under-12 rally and an Under-16 tournament. The tournament is open to both girls and boys.

A media briefing tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. will take place to signal the formal relationship between SIGNIA Financial and Holford Academy of Sports which will be responsible for the organisation of the DCB Mini-League Series.

Additional tournaments will take place during the summer and Christmas vacation in Under-11, 14, 17 and girls categories.

SIGNIA Financial has also sponsored the Easter Hoops Basketball Camp which started on April 8 and concludes April 19.

Individuals or teams interested in taking part in the tournament can register at the YMCA up to tomorrow morning. They can also contact Ryan Holford at 820-8096, Barry Forde at 244-0096 or Ianthum Alleyne at 237-3072.††
