Foundation Old Scholars make quarter-finals

Foundation B Old Scholars clinched the last quarter-final place in the fifth annual Christ Church Foundation School Joel Garner Twenty20 tapeball tournament with a seven-run win over Ellerslie Alumni at Briar Hall, Christ Church last night.

Playing in the Barry Gaskin/Bran Williams Zone D, Foundation B scored 126 for seven off 20 overs after winning the toss and dismissed Ellerslie for 119 in 19.2 overs.

The first two matches in the quarter-finals are scheduled for Friday, March 8, at Dover. Defending champions Deighton Griffith Old Scholars will oppose Foundation B Old Scholars at 6.30 p.m. and Norman/Roy Marshall Brothers Lodge Road clash with last year’s runners-up St. Leonard’s Old Scholars at 9.30 p.m.

The other quarter-final matches are:

Monday, March 11 – Livy Hoyte Foundation School v Foundation A Old Scholars at Briar Hall – 7 p.m.

Wednesday, March 13 – Combermere Old Scholars v Alleyne Alumni at Dover – 7 p.m.
