st. james central
George Hutson is proud of his achievements in the constituency he has been representing from 2008.
The DLP St. James Central candidate said on Monday evening during a walk-through of Derricks, that the party had done a lot in the last five years to improve the lives of Barbadians and develop the country.
“We’ve been able to address a lot of the challenges along Highway 1, the deep gutters the tourists were falling into and residents alike have now been covered along Prospect and Payne’s Bay. We’ve covered the gutters and converted them into sidewalks so that people can now walk along Highway 1. We now have beautiful sidewalks…,” he said.
Hutson noted that the construction of houses and roads was also among the work they did.
On Saturday, Hutson and a team of supporters also drove through the constituency encouraging people to vote for him.
Yesterday it was the turn of Prime Minister Freundel Stuart’s supporters who took the roads in St. Michael South to speak about what his administration had done.
In some areas such as Beckles Road, the placard waving supporters danced to the music while spreading the gospel of the DLP. (DS)
