Polls, no big deal

Why do some people get so worked-up about polls? Polls are merely games in semantics played by the mathematically-minded.

In the same way some folks have fun (or mischief) with words, others have fun with numbers.

All day Thursday Barbadians in their thousands are going to do what they have been doing for the past 60-odd years since Universal Adult Suffrage came about in 1951 – long before the arrival of polls.
