Bostic all around Town

blpbosticintownThe streets of the City were painted red today – at least figuratively speaking.

A long procession of trucks and people clad in red wove their way through the more residential parts of Town today, as Barbados Labour Party candidate for the City of Bridgetown Jeffrey Bostic, hosted a motorcade. Through Westbury Road, up Whitepark Road, through Gills Road and the procession went on and on, touching as many areas of the City as possible, with trucks literally packed with people and dozens more than on foot.

Bostic standing atop one of the trucks waved and smiled to many supporters and residents in the area as they hailed him, and during the course of the motorcade, even more people, mostly youth came out to walk alongside the trucks and join in the event.

One supporter even towed a stuffed character through the streets that evidently was supposed to represent the Democratic Labour Party incumbent Patrick Todd, who is likewise seeking reelection to Parliament. (LB)
