Lashley out and about

dlpmlashleymotorcadegoodDemocratic Labour Party candidate for the constituency of St. Philip North, Michael Lashley, has joined other candidates making whistle stop tours of their constituencies with general elections a mere 10 days away.

A member of Lashley’s campaign team told Barbados TODAY that the touring party left the constituency office at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday with an entourage of 15 to 20 cars, two trucks and three SUVs.

She pointed out that the reception right across the constituency was warm.

However, in an interview with Barbados TODAY, Lashley said he was pleasantly surprised at the response he received in Marley Vale, a well known Barbados Labour Party stronghold.

Lashley told Barbados TODAY that constituents from Marley Vale were coming on board his campaign. He explained that during the week he will be stepping up his electioneering with the holding of more spot meetings and another motorcade.†(NC)
