St. John man 2013’s first road fatality
A two-vehicle smash up has resulted in this country’s first road death for the year.
That victim was Raymond Lewis of Clifton Hall, St. John. Lewis was riding his motorcycle this morning, when it became involved in a collision with a motor van at the junction of Massiah Street, St. John.
The van was driven by 77-year-old William Tryhane of Haynes Hill, St. John. After the incident, Lewis was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance in critical condition, but later succumbed to his injuries there.
