LIAT probing security breach

ST. JOHN’S – Investigations continue into a security breach involving a LIAT aircraft at Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport.

A release from the airline company said an unauthorised person tried to gain entry to a LIAT aircraft, which was parked there overnight from Monday.

“Initial checks revealed that one of the emergency doors had been deployed,” the communiqu? read.

“A thorough assessment will be carried out by the company’s maintenance team before the aircraft is returned to service.”

It also assured that the airline’s security department and the local authorities are carrying out full investigations. (Antigua Observer)
