It was very close at the top but in the end Green House reigned supreme at Lawrence T Gay Primary School’s Inter-House Sports at Kensington Oval on Friday.

Green House tallied 326 points to stave off a spirited challenge from Yellow House which copped 304 points. Red House took third position with 274 while Blue House was some distance behind the front-runners on 163 points.

Jaden Morris, running in the under-13 division, emerged as victor ludorum with 55 points having scored victories in the long jump, 800m, 400m and 200m. His Green House colleague Dedra Deane-Mason was victrix ludorum with 55 points and also scored wins in the long jump and 200m, as well as the 600m and 400 metres.

Other division winners were Jada Worrell (under7) of Green House with 12 points and Zahir Niles, also of Green House, with 12 points. Radavie Welch, with 43 points, was the top girl in the under-9 class with victories for her Red House in the long jump, 100m, 80m and 150m. Shayne Trotman of Yellow House copped 43 points from wins in the long jump, 100m, 80m and 150m, to be the best among the under-9 boys.

Yellow House’s Reniqua Cave with 36 points from wins in the long jump, 100m and 200m, was the top performer among the under-11 girls while Red House’s Tremaine Dowrich had 52 points from top placements in the long jump, 800m, 400m, 100m and 200m for under-11 competitors.†††
