Commitment to scouting

The Barbados Boy Scouts Association recently laid to rest Rosaline Bend the Assistant Chief Commissioner for Beaver Scouts after a period of illness. Words fall short of proclaiming the dedication which was exhibited by Rosaline for the many tasks which she joyfully engaged within the national Scout association.

So to say that she will be missed, is an understatement for all in scouting knew of her dedication to the Beaver Scouts, the drum corps, training and the list can go on and on. Truth be told, Rosaline’s love for scouting was so evident that as long as she was available one can be sure that the activities which are scheduled either at national or district level would see and feel her presence.

Without a doubt she will be missed but all of her scout brothers and sisters thank God for her live and dedication to this cause which sought the modification of behaviours within the males of our country.

Continue to rest in peace, Gold Beaver.
