In Biblical times Father Abraham had many sons.
However in the Christ Church East constituency the Barbados Labour Party candidate, Wilfred Abrahams had many “sons and daughter”.
This evening the Barbados TODAY visited the constituency and witnessed as he mingled with them and heard the many challenges that affect them.
From Breedy’s Land, to Wilcox Hill, Bourne’s Land and other spots throughout Silver Sands, residents greeted him with open arms, hugs and kisses.
One in particular, “Pong”, was not shy at all about who would be getting his “X”.
“We ready, just bring buses on the morning and we will do what we have to do,” he shouted.
A familiar face throughout the districts, the attorney-at-Law said he has many plans for Christ Chruch East, including the continuation of the Soup Drop. Each weekend through this programme he and friends feed more than 100 people in the district.
While they have received some help from the private sector, Abrahams said, they are desirous of attracting more so that this programme could be sustained. (KC)
