‘Catspraddle’ in the country

stjohncarnivalrevellersThere was no panic when more than 1,000 revellers took to the streets of St. John yesterday.

From Gall Hill through Clifton Hall, Edge Cliff, Venture, Wakefield, Four Roads, Pool, Small Town and back to Gall Hill, the sweet sounds of Crop-Over and Carnival music filled the air.

This was the first event of this kind for organisers, Nu Vision Family, who initially wanted to host a series of events encapsulated in the David Thompson Festival.

This is the first time Nu Vision Family organised an event of that kind.

Ryan Weekes noted in an interview ahead of the carnival that their event was not to be confused with last year’s carnival which was organised by someone else. (DS)
