Construction panel discussion
“The Collaboration of Contractors and Consultants in Construction: Cost versus Affordability” is the topic for a panel discussion scheduled for tomorrow at the meeting room in the Arnold Christie Complex, Lower Estate, St. Michael at 5:30 p.m. Panellists will be Engineer Grenville Phillips III, Quantity Surveyor Andy Clarke and other industry professionals.
This is one of the events scheduled as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations for ADC Building and Maintenance Limited. The locally owned construction company has planned a week of activities to celebrate this milestone while providing an opportunity for customers and partners to be recognised and rewarded.
CEO of the company Adrian Christie says the panel discussion is well-timed as the construction industry has been heavily impacted by the current economic situation. He believes the topic will offer some insight into the role of consultants on construction projects and debunk myths about the cost of using them on small projects.
He said he hopes the discussion opens up greater communication channels, resulting in the delivery of good service to the customer at a price point that is that is affordable while educating them in the process.
In reflecting on his company’s 20 years in the industry, Christie noted that the company concentrated on providing the best possible product while helping their clients to realise their goals. ADC also has three other subsidiary companies under its umbrella, the Hardware Hub, Uwe Harrs Inc. and Renad Inc.
The week of celebrations includes product sampling Customer Appreciation Days on January 14, 15 and 17 at the Hardware Hub located at the Arnold Christie Complex and a Dinner and Appreciation Ceremony for staff at the Concorde Experience on January 19 at 7:30 p.m.. The feature address will be delivered by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
