T20 tourney on ESPN Caribbean
ESPN Caribbean will air the annual Caribbean Twenty20 cricket tournament throughout the West Indies beginning this Sunday with Trinidad & Tobago, who won 2012’s tournament, coming up against Jamaica at the Queen’s Park Oval, in Port-of-Spain, a release from the network has indicated.
The 2013 tournament, which runs until January 20, has a new format, with each team playing six group-stage matches, up from four.
The seven regional teams competing will play each other once and the team with the most points at the end of the group-stage stage will automatically qualify for the final. The other finalist will be decided after a play-off between the second and the third-placed teams in the group-stage, the release noted.††
