Christmas is all about the children, says Wilfred Abrahams.
The Barbados Labour Party candidate for Christ Church East and the branch hosted a party on December 22, at the playing facility parish land, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
He said the children had a “great time” whether they were in the jumping tent, beating the pinata to get the goodies, having their faces painted by either of the two painters, dancing to music or eating food and drinks.
Each child left with gifts and loot bags.
“Christmas is all about the children. Although times are hard children should still be able to enjoy the magic of Christmas and meet new friends. There are some children here who may not have otherwise had anything memorable happen at Christmas and although the party was a significant undertaking it was all worth it. With God’s help I intend to make this an annual party. I would like to thank Tamesha Watkins and Lorenzo Harewood, two young members of our executive who ably assisted in the planning and execution of this party as well as our sponsors who made it possible,” Abrahams said.
He and his team also distributed gifts to many children in the constituency.
