Gov’t: All set

The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development has advised that except for the Government Hill Nursery School, all schools are ready to open for the start of the second term, also known as the Hilary Term.

Teachers are expected to begin on Monday, January 7, to undertake the necessary preparation and planning for students who return to the classroom the following day, January 8.

The Government Hill Nursery School, which suffered damage to its store room during a fire on December 29, 2012, will be closed for the entire week January 7 to 11.

Teachers from that school have, meanwhile, been invited to a meeting at the ministry’s headquarters at the Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, on January 7, at 2 p.m.

The upcoming school term will last for 13 weeks, ending on April 4 for students and April 5 for teachers.
