Finals for Combermere

Combermere are into the final of the Barbados Cricket Association’s Republic Bank-sponsored RightStart Everton Weekes Under-13 Competition.

Today at Ellerslie in a contest reduced from 35 overs to 30, The Lodge School batted first and made 102 for 9 in 30 overs with Treasure Griffith top-scoring with 36. Tyrese Brathwaite (2 for 3 runs) and Maxwell Lewis (2 for 4) did the damage for Combermere.In response, openers Shian Brathwaite with an unbeaten 51 and David Scott with 41 not out led Combermere to 103 without loss and a comfortable 10-wicket victory.

The second semi-final between Ellerslie and Alexandra at The Lodge School was rained out and will be played tomorrow at the Ellerslie School. The final is slated for Saturday.†
