Oval on fire

The St. George Primary School Stars and Blue Tooth Breakers set Kensington Oval on fire last night.

They weren’t hitting any boundaries but the dance moves they performed were master strokes that helped them victory in their respective categories at the annual Community Dance Fest.

Held at the “Mecca” of West Indies cricket for the first time on New year’s day, St. George Primary earned a total of 964.5 points to beat their nearest rival†Praise Academy Destiny by four points in the children’s section with third place and 910 points going to Praise Academy Promise.

The Adults category though, with equally talented performers, was not as close as their younger counterparts but the very large crowd still loved each energetic move.

Blue Tooth Breakers, performing Life In Dance, were the overall stars with 606 points. Second with 562 points was Element Dancers†with In Control, and third place ADL Adrenaline paid homage to cricket with a piece called Cricket lovely Cricket for their 540 points.

Other participants were: Lawrence T Gay Memorial School and†Praise Academy Children of Promise — Holy Spirit in the children category. In the Adults:† Reactive Squad — Beautiful Nightmare,† Demolition Squad — Demons Try To Take Over The World, Itec — Crash Land, Elevation Dancers — Faith, New Motion Dancers — How Good Girls Go Bad, Praise Academy New Era Dancers — How Far Will You Go and Influential Dancers — He Who Have Overcome His Fears Will Truly Be Free.
