Let there be lights

Householders across Barbados have not been lighting up this year as they did in recent years.

This was borne out last night when a Barbados TODAY team took a drive along the West Coast, hoping to take pictures of light displays on the houses and hotel buildings.

There was a string or two of lights on some homes and a shop, while hotels such as Sandy Lane, Almond Beach Club and the Fairmont Royal Pavilion as well as luxury condominiums St. Peter’s Bay have lights in the trees.

That apart, there was a display with some Christmas trees in front of the St. Alban’s Primary School that provoked a warm feeling.

However, the residents of Industry Road in Bush Hall have turned that area into a magical wonderland as almost all of the houses are well lit. (DS)
