Xmas Jazz is back

Marcus Miller leads an all- star line-up of musicians for Christmas Jazz at Ilaro Court.

Lovers of Jazz and Christmas are in for a wonderful musical treat on Sunday, when Sagicor Christmas Jazz comes to Ilaro Court for its 10th anniversary show: The Best of 10 years. It is produced by Deryck Walcott.

Show time is 8 p.m. and fans can expect to be entertained and enthralled by the all-star award-winning band featuring some of the most sought after musicians across the globe who have backed the likes of Stevie Wonder, Jay Z, Prince, Michael Jackson and Celine Dionne, to name a few.

KFC, an associate sponsor of this annual Christmas feature for close to a decade, is on board once again this year.

KFC Marketing Executive, Lisa Davis said the company was always pleased to be associated with the quality line-ups featured annually for Christmas Jazz and this year was no exception.

“KFC is all for promoting experiences that fit well with our So Good approach to the KFC restaurant experience, and when it comes to being so good, Christmas Jazz is right up there.

“As usual this year, the all-star line up of musicians has backed and played with the best in the music business like Luther Vandross, Al Green, Anita Baker and others with whom Barbadians are very familiar,” Davis said.

Barbadian patrons purchasing tickets to this show will certainly not be disappointed by its cast of stellar musicians. Lead by the consummate entertainer and Grammy award winner, Marcus Miller, the band also includes Grammy award winners Kirk Whalum, Gerald Albright and Luis Conte plus the young guns Christian Scott, Bobby Sparks, Shelea Frazier and others.
