Quarterfinals action tomorrow

The quarterfinalists of the Barbados Cricket Association’s Republic Bank Right Start Everton Weekes Under-13 Limited Overs Championships have been determined and their matches will be played tomorrow.

Combermere take on Queen’s College at Waterford, St Michael; Graydon Sealy come up against The Lodge School at Society, St. John; Grantley Adams battle against Alexandra at Blackman’s, St. Joseph; and Ellerslie challenge Coleridge & Parry at St. Stephen’s Hill, St. Michael.

The semi-finals will be played on December 10 with the finals slated for December 12.

In yesterday’s final preliminary rounds Coleridge & Parry defeated Deighton Griffith by five wickets at Kingsland, Christ Church; Graydon Sealy beat St. George Secondary by 8 wickets at Constant, St. George; and St. Michael defeated Frederick G. Smith by 4 wickets at Trents, St. James.

The match at Church Hill, Christ Church between Foundation and Alleyne was not played and both teams were awarded two points each.

At Constant – Graydon Sealy Secondary beat St. George Secondary by eight wickets. St George Secondary 30 all out (12.2 overs) (Naja Watkins 13; Shaquon Collymore 6-15, Josiah Bailey 3-5). Graydon Sealy 31-2 (5 overs).

At Trents, St. James – St. Michael beat Frederick G Smith Secondary by four wickets. Frederick G Smith 94 all out (29 overs) (Dashawn Griffith 35; Victor Clarke 4-23, Adam Evelyn 3-12, Jared Lovell 2-9). St. Michael 97-6 (24 overs) (Naeem Young 34 not out, Victor Clarke 13 not out, Jared Lovell 10; Dashawn Griffith 3-24, Rivaldo Phillip 3-7).†
