Full house for safety and health workshop

A full house is expected for the Labour Department’s seminar this week on the Safety and Health at Work Act.

And managers, employers and persons in attendance will receive comprehensive knowledge about this piece of legislation, which is expected to be proclaimed by January 1, 2013.

Scheduled tomorrow, December 5, the half-day workshop will commence at 9 a.m. and will conclude at noon. It will be held on the 1st Floor Amphitheatre, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.

Topics to be covered include: The Impact of HIV on the Workplace, The SHaW Act, and Workplace Safety Policies. Participants will also benefit from analysing case studies from various organisations in Barbados.
