Celebrating our 94th anniversary

The Girl Guides of Barbados will mark its 94th anniversary on November 30 and will host its Thanksgiving Celebration on Sunday December 9 at the Cathedral Church of St. Michael and All Angles, St. Michael’s Row, Bridgetown at 11 a.m. This year’s theme is Stop the Violence — We Can Save our Planet.

Girl Guides Barbados will commit to the international Stop the Violence Campaign with a march from Girl Guides headquarters at Pax Hill, Belmont Road, St. Michael to the Cathedral at 10:30 a.m.

Maria Mayers, Commissioner for Parades, will be in charge of the parade assisted by Assistant Commissioner of Parades, Gillian Gibbs.

Members not participating in the march and Recruits in school uniform, Unit Helpers, parents, family members and friends are asked to go directly to the church where they will be seated by an usher.
