Inaugural cricket classic this weekend

Cricket enthusiasts are expected to flock to the Desmond Haynes Oval, Black Rock, St. Michael this Sunday for the inaugural Philo Wallace/Ottis Gibson Under-18 Cricket Classic.

Carlos Maynard is one of several young promising cricketers who will be on show on Sunday.

A number of the island’s most promising junior cricketers will be displaying their skills while competing for a first prize of $2 500. The runners-up will pocket $1 000 and third and fourth-placed will receive $500 each.
