We’ve come a long way

This one caught us off-guard.

We had never heard of the Barbados Council of Women, and we did not know of this kind of child-centred mobile health service. But based on the contents of this photo, before the days of polyclinics valuable services were rendered from the back of this van, and the arrival of the nurse in the community was warmly welcomed.

We wonder: Did the baby on the scale grow up to be a health professional?
