barbadians can expect a magical journey with storybook characters and more
If the sneak peek is anything to go by, then the Magical Storybook show will be an event like none other.
The show will be held at the Wildey Gymnasium on November 30 but last Saturday, November 17, patrons at the Chefette Restaurants’ Black Rock, St. Michael branch were treated to a free pre-event concert.
Most of the fun began around 4:30 in the evening when customers, especially the eagerly waiting little ones, had an opportunity to meet some of the 400 cast members.
The favourites were definitely the princesses, who included Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Snow White. They mingled with the children and on countless occasions were asked to pose for photos with them.
There was dance, face painting, Andre Holder on steel pan, a “spin the wheel” competition and give-a-ways by the Speed Team Ladies.
It was a great evening filled with fun for the entire family and it can be said that the very large crowd enjoyed every moment. If one thought it could not get better the evening was then topped by electric performances from Party Monarch, Sweet Soca Monarch, Road March winner and Chefette ambassador, Michael Mikey Mercer, Brett Linton and Lorenzo.
All of the funds raised at the Magical Storybook show will go toward the Barbados Cancer Society to help children with cancer. (KC)
