Republic Bank appreciated

Over the past several years Republic Bank has supported the Hope Foundation in creating awareness about chronic illnesses such as lupus.

Manager, Card Services, Sonia Hall-Hunte, recently presented Director of Publications at the Hope Foundation, Sandra Cummins, with its contribution towards helping persons affected by such diseases.

“Chronic diseases are a burning national issue as we grapple with the management of these silent killers and their impact on the young and old in Barbados. I am pleased that the bank is playing its part to help raise awareness of these illnesses through its long-standing association with the Hope Foundation,” Hall-Hunte said.

President of the Hope Foundation, Shelly Weir, thanked the bank for its continued support and noted that without contributions from Republic Bank and corporate Barbados, the Hope Foundation would not have been able to undertake its initiatives over the years to assist persons affected by illnesses such as lupus, sickle cell and arthritis.

This appreciation was demonstrated when the Hope Foundation in turn presented an award to Republic Bank for its commitment and dedication over the years.
