Ganja haul in Chapman Lane

A man from Chapman Lane, the City could be facing the courts tomorrow after police found 168 marijuana plants growing at his home this morning.

Police Public Relations Officer Inspector David Welch said a warrant was executed at the man’s residence this morning around 11:45 and the plants, between three inches and eight feet tall, were found growing in his enclosed yard.

Additionally, he said, 11 dried plants and a loose quantity of cannabis were also found in the bedroom.

Up to late this evening Welch said the man was still only a suspect and had not been charged. (LB)
