Ex-cops held with cocaine

ST JOHN’S — Police hunting those responsible for the October 5 double killing in Cedar Valley have charged two ex-cops with unlawful possession of the 35 kilograms of cocaine found at the murder scene.

Recently retired policeman Aleigh Byer, and Cosbert Sergeant who left the force shortly after recruitment over a decade ago, are said to be custodians of the property in which the class A drugs and the bodies of Dermouth Alix Riviere and Alwin DJ Bullet Robin were found.

The cocaine carries an estimated street value of $1.4 million. The two were expected in court today. (Antigua Observer)
