Senior athletes competing in Utah

Barbados’ 22 senior athletes are now in United States taking part in the Huntsman World Senior Games at the Dixie State’s Hansen Stadium in St George, Utah. They are competing in track and field, basketball, table tennis, archery and cycling.

The athletes range between the ages of 52 and 78. Their participation has been facilitated by the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development.

The games run from October 8 to 20 but the Barbados team will be returning home on Monday.
