Special treat at Expo

Patrons visiting the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre next weekend will be in for a special treat, when the Barbados Government Information Service hosts Love, Poetry and Song: The Remix at the Home Expo 2012.

The Remix, which will be held on September 23 at 6:30 p.m. — the third and final day of the expo — will see local talent come together in dance, spoken word and song to raise awareness, funds and contributions for the HIV Food Bank.

Acts will include DJ Simmons, who will host the event, and Zingha, Higher Level, Christal Austin, Wesu Wallace, Divine Harmony, and the band NexCyx. Patrons will also have an opportunity to be a part of the show by signing up for the open mic session, which will offer limited participation. (BGIS)
