Ajmal leaves Aussies in a spin

ABU DHABI – Pakistan beat Australia by seven wickets in the second one-day international today, levelling the three-match series 1-1 at Abu Dhabi Stadium.

Opener Nasir Jamshed hit an attractive 97 to set Pakistan on course for chasing a 249-run total in 43.4 overs.

Michael Hussey topscored for Australia with 61 but got very little assistance from the other batsmen. Australia had no answer to the wiles of off-spinner Saeed Ajmal who snared four for 32.

The third match will be played in Sharjah on Monday.
